2 story, front peaked 3-bay clapboard house, with family group in front and white horse off to left. Second house on site (original burned in 1878); this house burned in 1911. Owned by Col. Frank McCormick after 1842 from the John Castleman heirs. A tall case clock in Frankford is said to have been worked on by John Brown while in disguise right before Harper's Ferry. Col.
